A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH ORDERING CERTAIN ADDITIONAL
WORK TO BE DONE IN ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 51
WHEREAS, on the 24th day of February, 1969, the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach adopted Resolution No. 6931,
entitled "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT
BEACH DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ORDER CERTAIN ADDITIONAL 14ORK TO
BE DONE IN ASSESSNNT DISTRICT NO. 51 PURSUANT TO THE IMOVEMENT
ACT OF 1911 AND GIVING NOTICE OF DARING THEREON WHEN OBJECTIONS
TO SAID ADDITIONAL WORK MAY BE PRESENTED TO THE CITY COUNCIL ";
and
WHEREAS, Chapter 8.5, Division 7 of the California
Streets and Highways Code, authorizes the City Council to order
changes in the work proposed to be done within an assessment
district; and
WHEREAS, the proposed work as recommended to the City
Council by the Engineer of Work consists of additional work to be
done in Assessment District No. 51, consisting of the addition of
approximately one hundred fifty (150) feet of paving in the
location hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, on March 10, 1969, a hearing was held to
consider objections to the proposed additional work, and all
protests and objections, both written and oral, were considered by
the City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows:
Section.l. The City Council hereby overrules all
objections made to the proposed additional work as hereinafter
described;

Section 2. The public interest and convenience require
the work hereinafter described to be done, and the City Council
hereby orders the following work to be done, in Assessment District
No. 51, to wit:
The construction of approximately one hundred fifty
(150) feet of alley paving in that un -named alley which lies
parallel to 25th Street between 25th Street and 26th Street;
the paving is to be done in that portion of said alley adjac
to Lots 23 through 28 and 11 through 16, Block 25 of the
Newport Beach Tract as shown on Sheet 11A of Drawing
No. R- 5137 -5, copies of which are on file in the offices of
the Public works Director and the City Clerk.
ADOPTED this 10th day of March , 1969.
