A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE
WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT PROGRAM, 1968 -69,
CONTRACT.NC. 1208
WHEREAS, pursuant to the notice inviting bids for work
in connection with a water main replacement program in the City
of Newport Beach and in accordance with the plans and specifica-
tions heretofore adopted, bids were received on the 8th day of
April, 1969, and publicly opened and declared; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
therefor is Miller- Griffin, Inc. of Sunland;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the bid of Miller -
Griffin, Inca for the work in connection with a water main
replacement program in the amount of $81,667.00 be accepted and
the contract for the construction work be awarded to said bidder.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
are hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in
accordance with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf
of the City of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed
to furnish an executed copy to the successful bidder.
