A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A
JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AND THE COUNTY OF ORANGE FOR
THE WIDENING OF A PORTION OF PACIFIC COAST
HIGHWAY
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach an agreement between the City of
Newport Beach and the County of Orange for certain street
improvement work on West Pacific Coast Highway at a location
immediately west of the Balboa Bay Club, said work to include
the construction of pavement widening, curbs, gutters, sidewalks
and storm drains; and
WHEREAS, said agreement has been prepared pursuant to
the provisions of Title 1, Division 7, Chapter 5, Article 1,
California Government Code, titled "Joint Powers Agreement ";
WHEREAS; the City Council has considered the terms
and conditions of said agreement and found them to be fair and
equitable, and it is in the interest of the City to execute the
same;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach that said agreement for street
improvement work be approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk are
hereby authorized and directed to execute the same on behalf of
the City of Newport Beach.
ADOPTED this 12th day of May, 1969.
