A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH.APPROVING PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS,
• CO.ST_ESTIMATE AND.MAP OF )PROPOSED ASSESSMENT.
DISTRICT.NO..53 ..
WHEREAS, pursuant to instructions from the City Council
the Public Works Director has prepared plans, specifications, a
cost estimate, and an assessment district map for use in connection
with proposed Assessment District No. 53, for the purpose of
constructing certain improvements consisting of paving certain
alleys in those areas of the City known as Newport Heights and
Balboa; and
WHEREAS, said plans and specifications are identified
as Drawing No. A °5044 -S, consisting of 41 sheets numbered 1 to 41,
inclusive; said cost estimate is set forth in the document
entitled P°City of Newport Beach, Public Works Department, Proposed
Assessment District 53, Estimate," prepared by Joseph T. Devlin,
Public Works Director, and dated January 26, 1970 (Amended); said
assessment district is identified as follows: Map entitled "City
of Newport Beach, Proposed Assessment District No. 53," identified
as Drawing No. M- 5130 -S, dated January 26, 1970; and
WHEREAS, the City Council intends to consider a
Resolution'of Intention to order certain alley improvements in
said proposed assessment district pursuant to the provisions of
the "Improvement Act of 1911," being Division 7 of the Streets
and Highways Code of the State of California; and
WHEREAS, prior to consideration of said Resolution of
Intention it is the desire of the City Council to adopt the
plans, specifications, cost estimate and assessment district map
for said project;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the above described
plans, specifications, cost estimate and assessment district map
• are approved and adopted.
ADOPTED this 26th day of January, 1970.
