A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY

OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR
TRAFFIC SIGNAL MODIFICATION AT THE INTERSECTION
OF SAN JOAQUIN HILLS ROAD AND JAMBOREE ROAD,
CONTRACT NO. 1261

WHEREAS, pursuant to the notice inviting bids for work
in connection with the traffic signal modification at the
intersection of San Joaquin Hills Road and Jamboree Road,
Contract No. 1261, in accordance with the plans and specifi-
cations heretofore adopted, bids were received on the 15th
day of June, 1970, and publicly opened and declared; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible
bidder therefor is Steiny and Company, Inc., of Los Angeles;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach that the bid of Steiny and Company,
Inc., for the work in the amount of $15,019.00 be accepted,
and that the contract for the described work be awarded to
said bidder;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
are hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in
accordance with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf
of the City of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed
to furnish an executed copy to the successful bidder.
