A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH REQUESTING THAT THE LOCAL
• AGENCY FORMATION COMMMISSION OF ORANGE COUNTY,
CALIFORNIA y APPROVE SHORECLIFFS -CAMEO SHORES
TIDELANDS ANNEXATION NO. 68,.AND REQUESTING
THAT.THE COMMISSION AUTHORIZE THE CITY COUNCIL
TO APPROVE SAID ANNEXATION WITHOUT NOTICE AND
HEARING
WHEREAS, at the request of the City of Newport Beach
the State Lands Commission has approved the offshore boundaries
of the proposed annexation consisting entirely of tide and
submerged lands owned by the State, and as land owner has
consented to said annexation; and
WHEREAS, said annexation is known as "PROPOSED
ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, SHORECLIFFS ®CAMEO
SHORES TIDELANDS ANNEXATION, ANNEXATION NO. 68 "; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to approve such
annexation without notice and hearing pursuant to the authority
of section 54797.1 of the California Government Code;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
that the Local Agency Formation Commission is requested to
approve the annexation to the City of Newport Beach of the
uninhabited territory located within the above referred to
annexation No. 68, without notice and hearing.
