A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR
STREET LIGHT MODIFICATIONS ON IRVINE AVENUE,
23RD STREET TO SANTA ISABEL AVENUE,
CONTRACT No. 1330
WHEREAS, pursuant to the notice inviting bids for work
in connection with street light modifications on Irvine Avenue,
23rd Street to Santa Isabel Avenue, in accordance with the
plans and specifications heretofore adopted, bids were received
on the 2nd day of February, 1971, and publicly opened and
declared; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
therefor is Baxter - Griffin Co., of Anaheim, California;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the bid of Baxter - Griffin Co. for
the work in the amount of $6,375.00 be accepted, and that the
contract for the described work be awarded to said bidder;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
are hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in
accordance with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf
of the City of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed
to furnish an executed copy to the successful bidder.
ADOPTED this 8th day of February, 1971.
