RESOLUTION NO. 7 370
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR TRAFFIC
SIGNAL INSTALLATION AT.EASTBLUFF DRIVE NORTH AND
JAMBOREE ROAD, AND AT IRVINE AVENUE AND SANTIAGO
DRIVE, TO STEINY AND COMPANY, INC. C -1259
WHEREAS, pursuant to the notice inviting bids for work
in connection with traffic signal installation at Irvine Avenue
and Jamboree Road, and at Irvine Avenue and Santiago Drive, in
accordance with the plans and specifications heretofore adopted,
bids were received on the 10th day of February, 1971, and publicly
opened and declared; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
therefor is Steiny and 'Company, Inc.;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the bid of Steiny and Company, Inc.
for the work in the amount of $58,415.00 be accepted, and that
the contract for the described work be awarded to said bidder;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
are hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in
accordance with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf
of the City of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed
to furnish an executed copy to the successful bidder.
ADOPTED this 22nd day of February, 1971.
