HomeMy WebLinkAbout7478 - Use Permit 1518 Off-Site Parking AgreementWHEREAS, Paul Thoryk and Associates are the lessees of that certain real property located in the City of Newport Beach described as 2815 Villa Way; and WHEREAS, Paul Thoryk and Associates propose to operate a professional office building on the subject property; and WHEREAS, the Newport Beach Municipal Code will require a total of nine parking spaces to be provided on site to accom- modate the intended use of the professional office building; and WHEREAS, Paul Thoryk and Associates have arranged to lease certain property located at 3012 Newport Boulevard for the purpose of providing off site parking in connection with the proposed office building; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Newport Beach on March 18, 1971, approved the use of the property located at 2815 Villa Way for a professional office building in an M -1 District, whereby the number of code required on site parking spaces was waived provided that Paul Thoryk and Associates obtain sufficient off site parking spaces pursuant to agreement satis- factory to the City, and approved by the City Council; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council approves said lease arrangement between Paul Thoryk and Associates and the owners of the property located at 3012 Newport Boulevard, whereby Paul Thoryk and Associates will provide six parking spaces thereon between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday for the exclusive use of the proposed professional office building. -1- RESOLUTION NO. 7 47 8 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN OF OFF SITE PARKING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY NEWPORT BEACH AND PAUL THORYK AND ASSOCIATES, USE PERMIT No. 1518 WHEREAS, Paul Thoryk and Associates are the lessees of that certain real property located in the City of Newport Beach described as 2815 Villa Way; and WHEREAS, Paul Thoryk and Associates propose to operate a professional office building on the subject property; and WHEREAS, the Newport Beach Municipal Code will require a total of nine parking spaces to be provided on site to accom- modate the intended use of the professional office building; and WHEREAS, Paul Thoryk and Associates have arranged to lease certain property located at 3012 Newport Boulevard for the purpose of providing off site parking in connection with the proposed office building; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Newport Beach on March 18, 1971, approved the use of the property located at 2815 Villa Way for a professional office building in an M -1 District, whereby the number of code required on site parking spaces was waived provided that Paul Thoryk and Associates obtain sufficient off site parking spaces pursuant to agreement satis- factory to the City, and approved by the City Council; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council approves said lease arrangement between Paul Thoryk and Associates and the owners of the property located at 3012 Newport Boulevard, whereby Paul Thoryk and Associates will provide six parking spaces thereon between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday for the exclusive use of the proposed professional office building. -1- • BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the off site parking agreement on behalf of the City of Newport Beach.
