A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EKECUTION OF
AN AGREEMENT WITH SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON
COMPANY AND THE PACIFIC TELEPHONE AND TELEGRAPH
COMPANY IN CONNECTION WITH LIDO ISLE UNDERGROUND
UTILITIES
• WHEREAS, Southern California Edison Company and The
Pacific Telephone and Telegraph
service and telephone service t,
the City of Newport Beach known

system owned by the City, under
expired; and
Company have been rendering electric
residents of certain territory in
as Tract No. 907, which tract in-
use of an underground conduit
certain leases which have now
WHEREAS, all parties desire the continuation of such
service, and the use of said underground conduit system is necessary
therefor; and
WHEREAS, an agreement has been presented to the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach providing for the use by
said utilities companies of said underground conduit system for
a period of ten years from the date thereof, and the City Council
has considered the terms and conditions of said agreement and
found them to be fair and equitable;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said agreement
between the City, Southern California Edison Company, and The
Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company be approved, and the
Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute the
same on behalf of the City of Newport Beach.
ADOPTED this 23rd day of Aueugt 1971.
