RESOLUTION NO. 7624
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF
AN OFF -SITE PARKING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AND LAFAYETTE WATERFRONT
_• PROPERTIES, USE PERMIT NO. 1575
WHEREAS, LaFayette Waterfront Properties is the owner
of that certain real property located in the City of Newport
Beach described as 2814 LaFayette; and
WHEREAS, LaFayette Waterfront Properties proposes to
operate an office building on the subject property; and
WHEREAS, the Newport Beach Municipal Code will require
a total of six parking spaces to be provided on site to accom-
modate the intended use of the office building; and
WHEREAS, LaFayette Waterfront Properties has arranged
to lease certain property located at 3012 Newport Boulevard for
the purpose of providing off -site parking in connection with the
proposed office building; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Newport
Beach on January 6, 1972 approved the use of the property located
at 2814 LaFayette for an office building in an M -1 District,
whereby the number of code - required, on -site parking spaces was
waived provided that LaFayette Waterfront Properties obtains suf-
ficient off -site parking spaces pursuant to agreement satisfactory
to the City, and approved by the City Council;
NOW,, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
approves said lease arrangement between LaFayette Waterfront
Properties and the owners of the property located at 3012 Newport
Boulevard, whereby LaFayette Waterfront Properties will provide
six parking spaces thereon between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and
• 6:00 P.M. Monday through Friday for the exclusive use of the
proposed office building.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
are hereby authorized and directed to execute the off -site parking
✓• agreement on behalf of the City of Newport Beach.
