A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE
PUBLICATION OF LEGAL NOTICES AND OTHER MATTER
AND DESIGNATING AN OFFICIAL NEWSPAPER FOR
PUBLICATION OF NOTICES
WHEREAS, Section 419 of the City Charter provides that
the City Council shall publish a notice inviting bids and contract
for the publication of legal notices and other matter required to
be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the City
during the ensuing fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has published such notices
and bids have been received in accordance therewith; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has analyzed said bids and
determined to make the award as hereinafter provided;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the bid of
NeFmort Harbor Ensign be accepted and that the Mayor and
City Clerk be and hereby are authorized "and directed to execute a
contract in accordance with this award for the fiscal year
beginning July 1, 1972.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Newport Harbor Ensign
is hereby designated the official newspaper
for the publication of legal notices and other matter required to
be published, for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1972.
ADOPTED this 12th day of June, 1972.
