A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A
• CONSULTANT SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AND A. T. KEARNEY & CO. IN
CONNECTION WITH THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A COMPUTER
BASED CENTRALIZED DATA SYSTEM
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it would
be desirable to establish a computer based centralized data system
to aid in the updating of the General Plan and to improve the
data processing capabilities of the City; and
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach intends to apply for
a Department of Housing and Urban Development Grant to establish
said data system; and
WHEREAS, A. T. Kearney and Co. is qualified to assist
the City in establishing said data system, and has offered to
perform such consultant services; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to employ A. T. Kearney
and Co. as consultants for the purpose of establishing the data
system;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized to execute an agreement with A. T. Kearney and Co. to
undertake and complete the data system described above, contingent
upon the approval of the application for the H.U.D. Grant described
above.
