A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
OF A REIMBURSEMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AND NEWPORT MESA UNIFIED
SCHOOL DISTRICT PROVIDING FOR THE LIGHTING
OF A SPORTS FIELD AT LINCOLN SCHOOL AND FOUR
TENNIS COURTS AT CORONA DEL MAR HIGH SCHOOL,
AND REPEALING RESOLUTION 8114
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach a certain reimbursement agreement
between the City of Newport Beach and the Newport Mesa Unified
School District which provides for the lighting of a sports
field at Lincoln School and four tennis courts at Corona del Mar
High School; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the terms and
conditions of said reimbursement agreement and found them to be
fair and equitable and in the best interests of the City; and
WHEREAS, on October 29, 1973, the City Council adopted
Resolution No. 8114, authorizing the execution of a reimbursement
agreement between the City and the School District for the lighting
of the Lincoln School sports field. Said Resolution was never
acted upon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that said reimbursement agreement above
described is approved, and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized and directed to execute the same on behalf of the City
of Newport Beach.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution No. 8114 is
hereby repealed.
