RESOLUTION NO. 8378
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH SUSPENDING THE OPERATION OF
ALL PARKING METERS LOCATED IN THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH BEGINNING ON THE THIRD MONDAY
OF DECEMBER OF EACH YEAR AND ENDING ON
JANUARY SECOND
WHEREAS, various parking meter zones and parking
meter fees have been established by ordinance in the City of
Newport Beach for the purpose of regulating traffic and parking;
and
WHEREAS, it has been traditional for the City Council
to annually suspend the operation of certain meters during the
Christmas and New Year's holidays; and
WHEREAS, in keeping with this tradition and in the
spirit of the Holiday Season, the City Council has determined
to suspend the operation of all parking meters located in the
City of Newport Beach;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by -the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach that all parking meters located in
the City of Newport Beach are hereby suspended from operation
during the period beginning the third Monday in December of
each year and ending on January second.
