A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING THE LAND
USE ELEMENT OF THE NEWPORT BEACH GENERAL
PLAN (AMENDMENT NO. 15)
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted a Land Use
0 Element of the General Plan; and
WHEREAS, said Land Use Element sets forth objectives

and supporting policies which will serve as a guide for the future
planning and development of the City; and
WHEREAS: pursuant to Section 707 of the City Charter
of the City of Newport Beach, the Planning Commission has held a
public hearing to consider an amendment to the Land Use Element
which would extend the "Recreational and Marine Commercial" desig-
nation in the southeast section of Newport Center, northerly to
Farallon Drive and its extension to MacArthur Boulevard (General
Plan Amendment No. 15); and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has recommended to the
City Council said amendment to the Land Use Elem
"Recreational and Marine Commercial" designation
with "Administrative, Professional and Financial
