A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH AND HARDY HOUSE
PUBLISHING COMPANY TO PRODUCE A PICTORIAL
HISTORY OF NEWPORT BEACH
• WHEREAS, Hardy House Publishing Company has submitted
a proposal to the Bicentennial Committee to publish a pictorial
representation of Newport Beach from its early days to modern
development; and
WHEREAS, in return for the use of the Bicentennial
Committee's name as sponsoring the publication, Hardy House
Publishing Company will remit the sum of Five Thousand Dollars
($5,000) from the proceeds realized from the sale of the booklet
to be used by the Committee in furtherance of their duties and
purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed said proposal
and found it to be in the best interest of the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach approves the proposal of Hardy House
Publishing Company to produce a pictorial history of the City
of Newport Beach and hereby authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk
to execute said agreement on behalf of the City of Newport Beach.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council hereby
accepts the sum of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000) from Hardy
House Publishing Company in consideration for the use of the
Bicentennial Committee's name as sponsoring said publication,
said sum to be used in furtherance of the duties and purposes of
the Bicentennial Committee.
ADOPTED this 12th day of May , 1975.
