A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING SUBSECTION A OF SECTION 12
OF THE HARBOR PERMIT POLICIES RELATING TO THE
SCHEDULE OF FEES FOR PERMITS, AND RESCINDING
RESOLUTION NO. 8267
WHEREAS, on August 24, 1964, the City Council adopted
a set of Harbor Permit Policies dated June 1, 1964, by Resolution
No. 6019, which policies have been subsequently amended; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is desirable
to increase the fees for new pier permits, revisions, pier permit
transfers, and dredging permits, which necessitates the amend-
ment of Subsection A of Section 12 of the Harbor Permit Policies;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Subsection A of
Section 12 of the Harbor Permit Policies of the City of Newport
Beach is amended to read:
"A SCHEDULE OF FEES
New Permits Administrative Action - $165.00
Council Action - $225.00
Plus:
$20.00 for each additional
slip and $2.00 for each lineal
foot of bulkhead, except in the
Grand Canal where new permits
shall be $50.00
Revisions Administrative Action - $ 55.00
Council Action - $110.00
Plus:
$20.00 for each additional
slip and $2.00 for each lineal
foot of bulkhead
Transfers
$110.00
Dredging $ 55.00
For work started but not finished within the time limit
specified, a $50.00 fee will be charged for any Council
request for a time extension.
For all transfers not applied for within :30 days from
the date the abutting upland property changed ownership,
• an additional fee of $50.00 will be charged.
If the value of work proposed under a revision is over
50% of the replacement value of the existing structure,
a new permit will be required.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Harbor Permit Policies
dated June 1, 1974, be amended to reflect the above amendment
and a copy of said amended policies be kept on file in the City
Clerk's office.
