A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH APPOINTING AN ACTING CITY
CLERK AND FIXING THE SALARY
WHEREAS, the City Clerk has become ill and will
• be unable to perform her official duties for possibly the
next few months; and
WHEREAS, in order to conduct the upcoming municipal
election and to carry out the other business of the City as
required by the Charter, it will be necessary to appoint an
Acting City Clerk for this purpose and fix the salary for said
position;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach hereby appoints DORIS M. GEORGE
as the Acting City Clerk, effective February 9, 1976, at the
salary of $1,300.00 per month, payable as is most convenient
in the ordinary course of the preparation of the payroll, with
all the powers and duties as set forth in Section 603 of the
Charter of the City of Newport Beach.
ADOPTED this 9th day of February , 1976.
