RESOLUTION NO. 8700
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH SELECTING WILLIAM
BLUROCK & PARTNERS AS THE ARCHITECT FOR
THE NEWPORT CENTER BRANCH LIBRARY, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT IN CONNECTION THEREWITH
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach has acquired
property in Newport Center for the location and construction
of a library; and
WHEREAS, said library shall be known as the Newport
Center Branch Library; and
WHEREAS, an Architectural Review Committee was formed
for the purpose of interviewing applicants in connection with
the selection of an architect to design the Library; and
WHEREAS, after the interviewing of various applicants,
the Architectural Review Committee recommends that the City
select William Blurock & Partners as the architect for said
building; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the terms
and conditions of the architectural services agreement and found
them to be fair and equitable, and in the best interests of the
City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that William Blurock is hereby
selected to design the Newport Center Branch Library, and the
Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute
an architectural services agreement in connection therewith.
ADOPTED this 9th day of February 1976.
