A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH ADOPTING STANDARD SPECIFICA-
TIONS, SUPPLEMENTS AND SPECIAL PROVISIONS FOR
• USE IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF PUBLIC WORKS PROJECTS
WITHIN THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH

WHEREAS, the Public Works Director has submitted
"Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction" as
written and promulgated by the Southern California Chapters
of the American Public Works Association and the Associated
General Contractors of America, 1976 Edition; and
WHEREAS, yearly Supplements to the Standard Specifi-
cations for Public Works Construction will be published in 1977
and 1978; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Director has also submitted
City Standard Special Provisions for use in conjunction with
the APWA /AGC Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction;
and
WHEREAS, it would be in the best interests of the City
of Newport Beach to have said Standard Specifications approved
and adopted by the City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that said Standard Specifications,
Supplements, and Special Provisions for Public Works Construction
are hereby adopted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that three copies thereof shall
be kept on file in the office of the City Clerk for use and
examination by the public.
ADOPTED this 9th day of August , 1976.
