RESOLUTION NO. 8887
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH ACCEPTING A GRANT DEED FROM
JEAN E. ALLAN AND LEONA M. MENGES IN CONNECTION
WITH THE OCEAN -FRONT BEACH ACQUISITION PROJECT
WHEREAS, there has been delivered to the City of
Newport Beach a certain grant deed dated August 16, 1976 ,
wherein JEAN E. ALLAN and LEONA M. MENGES grant to the CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH the following described real property in connection
with the Ocean -Front Beach acquisition project:
"That portion of Block TT of East Side
Addition to Balboa Tract as per map recorded
in Book 4, page 20 of Miscellaneous Maps,
records of said Orange County, adjoining Lot
10, Block 16, of said Tract, and included
within the Southerly extension of the Westerly
and Easterly lines of said Lot 10, EXCEPTING
ANY PORTION of said land which at any time was
tide land which was not formed by deposit of
alluvion from natural causes and imperceptible
degrees."
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City to
accept said grant deed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that said grant is hereby accepted, and
the City Clerk is authorized and directed to execute and attach
thereto a certificate of acceptance and consent to its recording
and to cause said document to be recorded in the Office of the
Orange County Recorder.
