RESOLUTION NO. 9002
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH DONATING CERTAIN SURPLUS
RADIO EQUIPMENT TO THE ORANGE COUNTY CHAPTER
OF THE AMERICAN NATIONAL RED CROSS
WHEREAS, the Orange County Chapter of the American
National Red Cross has requested the City to donate various
surplus used police radios for use in their new base station;
and
WHEREAS, said radios are obsolete and are no longer
serviceable to the City; and
WHEREAS, the American National Red Cross performs
many necessary emergency services for the residents of Orange
County; and
WHEREAS, the Red Cross is a non - profit institution
established and maintained for the general welfare of the
community; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered this request
and finds it to be proper.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach does hereby donate to the Orange
County Chapter of the American National Red Cross certain used
surplus radio equipment which no longer is serviceable to the
City.
