A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH ADVISING THE ARTERIAL HIGHWAY
• FINANCING PROGRAM ADVISORY COMMITTEE THAT AN
AMENDMENT TO THE MASTER PLAN OF STREETS AND
HIGHWAYS HAS BEEN ADOPTED AND REQUESTING THE
COUNTY OF ORANGE TO MODIFY ITS MASTER PLAN OF
ARTERIAL HIGHWAYS WITHIN THE CITY TO CONFORM
TO THE CITY'S MASTER PLAN (CHANGE OF DESIGNATION
OF A PORTION OF BACK BAY DRIVE)
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach is a participant
in the Orange County Arterial Highway Financing Program; and
WHEREAS, the County of Orange Arterial Highway
Financing Program Procedure Manual requires that each city
which intends to participate in said program adopt a resolution
by July 1 of each year informing the Advisory Committee as to
whether or not changes have been made to the Arterial Highway
Master Plan within said City, and to request that said changes,
if any, be adopted into the County Arterial Highway Master Plan;
and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 8314 and 8315 adopted July
22, 1974, Resolution No. 8448 adopted March 10, 1975, Resolution
No. 8458 adopted March 24, 1975 and Resolution No. 9035 adopted
March 28, 1977 of the City of Newport Beach adopted amendments
to the Circulation Element of the City's General Plan which
revised the Master Plan of Streets and Highways, thereby requir-
ing changes to the County Master Plan of Arterial Highways; a
list of said changes is attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A" and
made a part hereof by this reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
0 the City of Newport Beach hereby requests the Arterial Highway
Financing Program Advisory Committee to take action to cause the
inclusion of said changes in the Orange County Master Plan of
Arterial Highways, as shown on said Exhibit "A ", in order that
said changes may be included in the County Arterial Highway
Financing Program.

major road (six travel
lanes and a center median)
with a right -of -way width
of 112 feet. The additional
12 feet of width will be
added to the northerly side
of Coast Highway."

and MacArthur Boulevard as a
