A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
• OF NEWPORT BEACH ESTABLISHING OFF - STREET
PARKING METER ZONES, FEES, TIME OF OPERATION,
RECREATION METER AND USE OF PERMITS IN WEST
NEWPORT PARK
WHEREAS, Section 12.44.030 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code provides that the City Council shall by resolu-
tion establish off - street parking meter zones, including any
land owned, leased or controlled by the city, as traffic
and parking conditions require; and
WHEREAS, said Section further provides that the City
Council shall by resolution also establish the fees for parking
in such off - street parking meter zones;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach that it is reasonable and in the
public interest to establish the following parking meter
regulations for the West Newport Park parking lots:
(a) Zone 20 is hereby established as the area
described as the City -owned and leased
land between Coast Highway and Seashore
Drive known as West Newport Park;
(b) The parking meter fee shall be twenty -five (25)
cents per hour and two -hour and six -hour
meters shall be used;
• (c) The parking meters shall be in operation from
8:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M., seven days per week
and each week of the year;

(d) The seasonal parking pass sold by the City
of Newport Beach shall be honored in said
Zone 20.
• ADOPTED this 11th day of July 1977.
