RESOLUTION NO. 9300
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO MAKE APPLICATION FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
UNDER THE FEDERAL DISASTER RELIEF ACT
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach finds that due to recent heavy rains, windstorms and floods,
a condition of extreme peril to the safety of persons and
property has arisen within the City of Newport Beach; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to apply for State
and Federal relief to reimburse the City for expenses incurred
as a result of the aforementioned calamity;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach hereby authorizes
on behalf of the City of Newport Beach to file
in the appropriate State office for the pupose
certain Federal financial assistance under the
Act (Public Law 288, 93rd Congress) or otherwi
the President's Disaster Relief Fund.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is
authorized to provide to the State and to the Federal Disaster
Assistance Administration, Department of Housing and Urban
Development for all matters pertaining to such Federal disaster
assistance certification of compliance with all assurances and
agreements required by law.
