RESOLUTION NO. 9322
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH DESIGNATING THE FIRE DEPARTMENT
CHIEF AS THE ISSUING AUTHORITY FOR EXPLOSIVE
PERMITS
WHEREAS, Section 12007(a) of the California Health
and Safety Code provides that the City Council shall designate
the issuing authority for explosive permits; and
WHEREAS, the appropriate issuing authority in the
City of Newport Beach would be the Fire Chief;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach hereby designates the Newport Beach
Fire Department Chief as the issuing authority for high explosives.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution
shall be sent to the State Fire Marshal.
ADOPTED this 24th day of April 1978.
