A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH ESTABLISHING THE SALARIES
OF THE CITY MANAGER, CITY ATTORNEY, CITY
CLERK, MANAGEMENT, AND OTHER KEY EMPLOYEES
FOR THE 1980 -81 FISCAL YEAR AND AMENDING
THE COMPENSATION PLAN AND TABLE OF AUTHORIZA-
TION TO REFLECT SAID CHANGES
WHEREAS, the City Council has the authority under
the Newport Beach City Charter to establish the salaries of
the City Manager, City Attorney and City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended certain
salary adjustments for Management and other key employees;
and
WHEREAS., the City Council has reviewed comparable
salaries of the City Manager, City Attorney and City Clerk
and has considered the recommendations of the City Manager,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach hereby establishes the following
salaries effective July 1, 1980:
1. The salary r nge of the City Manager shall
be 77.028

2. The salary range of the City Attorney shall
be 72.013;.
3. The salary range of the City Clerk shall be
59.011; and
4. The salaries of Management and other key
personnel shall be as shown on the attached
salary schedule marked Exhibit "A" and made
a part of this resolution.
• BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said salaries shall be
payable in monthly, semi - monthly or bi- weekly installments as
is most convenient in the ordinary course of the preparation
of the City's payroll.

I BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Compensation Plan
and Table of Authorization be amended to reflect said changes.
