A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A SUPPLEMENTAL COOPERA-
TIVE AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (CALTRANS) TO
PROVIDE FOR THE EXTENSION OF THE FOURTH WEST
BOUND LANE FROM THE EASTERLY BRIDGE ABUTMENT
TO BAYSIDE DRIVE
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach a certain supplemental cooperative
agreement, District Agreement No. 3337 -5 -21 between the City of
Newport Beach and the State of California, Department of
Transportation (CALTRANS) to provide for the extension of the
fourth westbound lane from the easterly bridge abutment to
Bayside Drive in conjunction with the Bay Bridge replacement; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the terms and
conditions of said Agreement and.finds them to be satisfactory
and that it would be in the best interests of the City to execute
said Agreement.
NOW,.THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City.Council of
the City of Newport Beach that said Supplemental Cooperative
Agreement, District Agreement No. 3337 -5 -2 be and hereby is
approved and that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
and directed to execute the same on behalf of the City of Newport
Beach.
