RESOLUTION NO. 11094
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH ESTABLISHING UNIFORM
PERSONNEL POLICIES FOR CITY EMPLOYEES AND
RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 8875
• WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach,
adopted Resolution No. 8875 in 1976 which established Uniform
Personnel Policies for City employeed; and
WHEREAS, Section 2.28.020 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code authorizes the City Manager to recommend to the
City Council the establishment, by Resolution, of Uniform
Personnel Policies for City employees, relating to
classifications, compensation, leaves of absence and other
conditions of employment; and
WHEREAS, the Uniform Personnel Policies were last
updated in 1976 and since then various changes have occurred as a
result of City Council approved Memorandas of Understanding; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and Personnel Manager have
recommended to the City Council certain revisions and updates
that would be in the best interests of all concerned.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the Personnel Policies update be
and hereby are adopted; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution No. 8875 be and
hereby is rescinded.
