A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH ESTABLISHING PARKING METER
ENFORCEMENT AREAS
WHEREAS, the City Council has established several
parking meter zones on the streets and highways of the City of
Newport Beach and has established certain off - street parking
meter zones; and
WHEREAS, the City Council determines that, due to
geographical location and volume of activity, certain parking
meter areas within the City of Newport Beach should be described
and designated according to their general purpose;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that all parking meters, both on the
public streets and off - street, are to be designated according to
one of the following enforcement areas: recreational areas,
combination recreational - commercial areas and commercial areas.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all parking meters located
in the following areas are hereby established and designated as
recreational area meters:
15th St. between Balboa Blvd. and Newport Bay;
The easterly side of 15th St, between Balboa Blvd. and
Ocean Front;
The City -owned land known as McFadden Parking Lot lying
within McFadden Place between Balboa Blvd. and Ocean
Front
The City =owned land known as Ocean Front Parking Lot
lying oceanward of Ocean Front between McFadden Place
and 24th St.;
Palm St. between Balboa Blvd. and Ocean Front;
The westerly side of 15th St. between Balboa Blvd. and
Ocean Front;
• The southerly side of Court. Ave. between McFadden Place
and 20th St.;
The northeasterly side of McFadden Place between Balboa
Blvd, and Ocean Front;
The southerly end of McFadden Place at the approach to
Newport Pier;
The Southwesterly side of McFadden Place between 22nd
St. and Ocean Front;
Ocean Front between McFadden Place and 24th St.;
22nd St. between Balboa Blvd. and Ocean Front;
23rd St. between Balboa Blvd. and Ocean Front;
The westerly side of Balboa Blvd. between 22nd St, and
the first alley north of 23rd St.;
22nd St. between Newport Blvd. and The Arcade;
The Arcade;
The easterly side of Balboa Blvd. between 26th St. and
28th St.;
28th St. between Balboa Blvd, and LaFayette Ave.;
Newport Blvd, between 26th St. and Via Lido, including
both roadways in the one -way section between 26th St.
and 30th Sts.;
The City -owned land westerly of and adjacent to the
westerly roadway of Newport Blvd., between 30th St. and
extending to 28th St.;
32nd St, between Newport Blvd, and Lafayette Ave.;
The parking area on the Newport Blvd, frontage of the
City Hall property;
Central Ave. 150 ft. south of Via Lido to Newport Bay;
Via Oporto between Via Lido and 32nd St.;
Via Malaga between Via Lido and Via Oporto;
Via Lido between Central Ave. and Lido Island bridge;
The City -owned and leased land easterly of and adjacent
to Central Ave. between Via Oporto and Newport Bay;
West Coast Highway between Newport Blvd, and the
southerly extension of Irvine Ave.;
Tustin Ave. between West Coast Highway and Avon St.;
The northerly one -half of the City -owned land southerly
of and adjacent to Ocean Front between Palm St. and Main
St.;

Villa Way from 32nd St. to 31st St.;
The City -owned land northerly of Coast Highway and
• easterly of Tustin Ave. abutting Ensign View Park
commonly known as Mariners Mile Parking Lot and Access
Road;
The City -owned parking lot at the southeasterly corner
of East Bay Ave. and Washington St.
ADOPTED this 24th day of May , 1982.
