A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH'OF INTENTION TO AMEND TITLE

20 OF THE NEWPORT BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE WITH
REGARD'TO ELECTRONIC VIDEO GAMES AND THE FUN
ZONE
WHEREAS, amendments to Title 20 of the Municipal Code
may be initiated by the City Council pursuant to Section
20.84.020 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, with regard to the current Ordinance
regulating electronic video games (Chapter 20.75 of the Municipal
Code) an interest has been expressed to exempt existing non-
conforming uses in the "fun zone area" as defined in the
Municipal Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the Planning Commission consider
the proposed amendment, and report its findings and
recommendations to the City Council pursuant to Chapter 20.84 of
the Municipal Code.
Adopted this 12th day of October , 1982.
