We have owned these properties for quite some time, and strive to provide our residents with superior property management and maintenance in order to retain our good residents. We have received complaints from our residents that the traffic and parking issues in Eastbluff have become unbearable. Some of our good residents have opted to move out of the area rather than arrange their daily schedules around the school and/or church traffic and parking congestion. Our residents and their guests are constantly competing with two overcrowded schools for scarce residential street parking, not to mention the sanitation and safety issues they face trying to navigate the streets when both schools are in session. This issue is affecting our resident's quality of life, and subsequently their decision to live in this area. We are asking that the City implement a parking permit system similar to those in use in other areas of the city in order to control residential street parking use by non - residents. We need some enforceable method to control street parking in this residential neighborhood in order to maintain a reasonable quality of life for our residents and their guests. We want to retain our good residents, and we need your help. Please implement such a program as soon as possible and contact me if you have any questions. Sincerely, Katherine Johansen Amigos Properties, LP Eastbluff Townhomes October 22, 2013 Honorable Council Members City of Newport Beach 3300 Newport Blvd Newport Beach, CA 92663 RE: Permit Parking for Eastbluff Dear Council Members, We own the 12 unit apartment building at 848 Amigos Way, Newport Beach, located at the corner of Amigos Way and Domingo Drive, across from Our Lady Queen of Angels Church School. Street parking has become increasingly difficult for residents of our building, due to overflow parking from Corona Del Mar High School. Although each apartment unit has a 2 car garage, parking for visitors and tradesmen is a real problem for our residents on school days. We would respectfully request your help in addressing this issue. We believe a rigorously enforced 1 hour parking restriction, excepting parking with resident -only parking permits, would substantially alleviate the parking situation for our residents. Sincerely, Ronald Bergen Eastbluff Apartments 848 Amigos Way
