RESOLUTION NO. 99 - 49
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH ESTABLISHING THE SALARIES FOR KEY
AND MANAGEMENT EMPLOYEES FOR FISCAL YEAR 1999 -2000
AND AMENDING THE CITY'S CLASSIFICATION AND
COMPENSATION PLAN TO REFLECT SAID CHANGES.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach has the Authority,
under Newport Beach City Charter, to establish salaries for employees; and
WHEREAS, The City Manager has recommended certain salary adjustments for
management and other key employees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach hereby establishes, effective the first pay period of July, 1999, that the
salaries for key and management employees may be adjusted by the City Manager within a
total cap of 3% of current salaries,
• BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the monthly contribution for health insurance
shall be increased to $425; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City's Classification and Compensation
Plan shall be amended to reflect these changes.
ADOPTED this 12`h day of July, 1999.

City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on the 12th
day of July, 1999, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the following vote, to wit:
Ayes: Adams, Glover, Debay, Ridgeway, Noyes, Mayor O'Neil
Noes: None
Absent: Thomson
Abstain: None
