A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH ESTABLISHING AN AMERICAN
LEGION SITE LEASE SUBCOMMITTEE
WHEREAS, the American Legion Post 291 occupies a site owned by the City; and
WHEREAS, the current lease between the City and the American Legion Post 291
expires March 15, 2002.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach hereby establishes the American Legion Site Lease Council Subcommittee which
will consist of two Council Members.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said Committee is charged with the following
duties and responsibilities:
1. Meeting with representatives from the Newport Beach American
Legion Post 291; and
2. Making recommendation to the City Council on future lease terms and
conditions.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said Committee shall automatically cease to exist
at such time as the next American Legion lease agreement is approved by the City Council.
ADOPTED this 27th day of November 2001.

resolution, being Resolution No. 2001 -93 was duly and regularly introduced before and adopted by
the City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on the
27th day of November, 2001, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the following vote, to
wit:
Ayes: Heffernan, O'Neil, Ridgeway, Glover, Bromberg, Proctor
Noes: None
Absent: Mayor Adams
Abstain: None
