A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH INITIATING AN
AMENDMENT TO TITLE 20 OF THE NEWPORT
BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO THE
SALE AND STORAGE OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES
WHEREAS, Title 20 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code authorizes the
City Council to adopt a resolution initiating amendments to the Zoning Code of the
City of Newport Beach; and
WHEREAS, the City Council intends to initiate an amendment to revise Title
20 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code to prohibit off -sale alcoholic beverage
outlets from selling or storing alcoholic beverages outside of the exteriorwalls of the
establishment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach to initiate an amendment to Title 20 of the Newport Beach Municipal
Code to prohibit off -sale alcoholic beverage outlets from selling or storing alcoholic
beverages outside of the exterior walls of the establishment.
This resolution was adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach held on April 8, 2003, by the following vote, to wit:

I, LaVonne M. Harkless, City Clerk of the City of Newport Beach, California, do
hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council is seven; that the foregoing
resolution, being Resolution No. 2003.22 was duly and regularly introduced before and adopted by
the City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on the 8th
day of April, 2003, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the following vote, to wit:
