A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT
BEACH CONFIRMING THE LEVYING OF ASSESSMENTS FOR THE
FISCAL YEAR OF JANUARY 1, 2004 TO DECEMBER 31, 2004 FOR THE
MARINE AVENUE BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the Advisory Board has prepared an Annual Report for the 2003
fiscal year which is on file in the office of the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, on November 12, 2003 the City Council adopted and published a
Resolution of Intention declaring the intention to levy assessments for the Marine
Avenue Business Improvement District for the fiscal year January 1, 2004 to
December 31, 2004; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing regarding the renewal of the Marine Avenue
Business Improvement District was held on December 17, 2003 without a protest
of majority.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach hereby
confirms the levy of assessments as described in the Resolution of Intention
dated November 12, 2003 for the Marine Avenue Business Improvement District
for the fiscal year January 1, 2004 to December 31, 2004.
This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption. Passed and
adopted by the City Council of the City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting
held on the 9th day of December 2003.

I, LaVonne M. Harkless, City Clerk of the City of Newport Beach, California, do
hereby certify that the whole number of members of the City Council is seven; that the foregoing
resolution, being Resolution No. 2003 -73 was duly and regularly introduced before and adopted by
the City Council of said City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on the 9th
day of December, 2003, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the following vote, to wit:
Ayes: Heffernan, Rosansky, Adams, Bromberg, Webb, Nichols, Mayor Ridgeway
Noes: None
Absent: None
Abstain: None
