Recently, I met with the owner's representatives to discuss the project and what it means for the area, the business community and the City of Newport Beach. This property has existed in an underutilized state for decades and I believe that the proposed development is just the type of project we need at this key City intersection. It will provide for dining and commercial opportunities for residents, provide much needed boat storage space and, provide a place for people to live in close proximity to the Upper Bay and Newport Harbor. I hope you will give this project your utmost consideration and allow the property owner to move forward with this very desirable project.
