RESOLUTION NO. 87 -1
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING THE NEWPORT PLACE
• PLANNED COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS SO AS TO
CHANGE RESTAURANT SITE 2A TO PROFESSIONAL AND BUSINESS
OFFICES SITE 8, AND ESTABLISH DEVELOPMENT LIMITS FOR OFFICE SITES,
AND THE ACCEPTANCE OF AN ENVIRONMENTAL DOCUMENT
(Planning Commission Amendment No. 637)
WHEREAS, Section 20.51.045 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code provides
that final amendments to a Planned Community Development Plan must be approved
by a Resolution of the City Council, setting forth full particulars of the
amendment; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on November
20, 1986, at which time it considered at certain amendment to the Planned
Community Development Standards for the Newport Place Planned Community so as
to redesignate Restaurant Site 2A to Professional and Business Offices Site 8
and establish development limits for the site; and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing the Planning Commission adopted a resolu-
tion recommending to the City Council that a certain amendment to the Planned
Community Development Plan for the Newport Place Planned Community Development,
as set forth in the Planning Commission Minutes of the November 20, 1986
meeting, be adopted; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds and determines that aid amendment to the
Planned Community Development Standards for the Newport Place Planned
Community is desirable and necessary; and
• WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach has conducted a public hearing on the
proposed amendment in accordance with all provisions of the law;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach hereby approves the proposed amendment to the Planned Community
Development Standards for the Newport Place Planned Community Development, as
• reflected in the Planning Commission minutes of its November 20, 1986 meeting,
and modified by the minutes of the City Council meeting of January 12, 1987.
ADOPTED this 12th day of January, 1987.
