RESOLUTION NO., 87 -45
OF THE CITY COUNC I L OF THE CITY
BEACH ESTABLISHING A REVISED
RATES FOR THE CORONA DEL MAR
EFFECTIVE APRIL 27, 1987, AND
'SOLUTION NO. 82 -17
WHEREAS, on February 12, 1982, the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach adopted Resolution No. 82 -17 which
established, among other things, rate schedules for the Corona
del Mar State and City Beach Parking Lot; and
WHEREAS, the City maintains and operates a parking lot
at Corona del Mar State and City Beach Park; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to alter the fees to
establish new and different fees for busses, motorcycles and
vehicles towing trailers.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, as follows:
1. The City Manager shall determine the days upon
which parking control shall be maintained and parking fees shall
be charged for the use of the City parking lots, as outlined
above, and on the basis of his evaluation of whether there is
sufficient demand for the use of said lots to justify providing a
parking attendant or activating an automatic parking gate;
2. For each date that parking control is maintained,
the following fees shall be charged for the use of said lots:
CORONA DEL MAR STATE AND CITY BEACH PARK
I. Summer Rate (Last Saturday in March through last Sunday
in September)
• A. Weekdays and Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays
1. $2.00 per day for motorcycles
2. $8.00 per day for busses, motor homes and
vechicles towing trailers and vehicles more
than 25' in length.
3. $4.00 per day for automobiles and all other

vehicles not enumerated above.
II. Winter Rate (The first Monday following the last Sunday
• in September through the Friday preceding the last
Saturday in March.

A. Weekdays, Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays
1. $1.00 per day for motorcycles
2. $4.00 per day for busses, motor homes,
vehicles towing trailers and vehicles 25' or
more in length.
3. $2.00 per day for automobiles and all other
vehicles not enumerated above.
III. The City Manager is authorized to waive any of the
aforesaid fees established herein when a special event
is being held of a charitable or civic nature is being
held and it is in the best interests of the City, and
the general public, that fees not be charged for the use
of any such parking lot in connection with said special
event.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution No. 82 -17 be and
is hereby rescinded.
