A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH ESTABLISHING THE SALARIES OF THE CITY
MANAGER, CITY ATTORNEY AND CITY CLERK FOR THE 1990-
91 FISCAL YEAR AND AMENDING THE CLASSIFICATION AND
COMPENSATION PLAN TO REFLECT SAID CHANGES.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach has
• the authority, under Newport Beach City Charter, to establish salaries
of the City Manager, City Attorney and City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has evaluated the performance of
the City Manager, the City Attorney and the City Clerk during the
previous fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, based upon the evaluation and consideration of the
duties performed by each, the City Council finds that the salaries
established by this resolution are fair and equitable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach hereby establishes that, effective July 1, 1990,
the total compensation of the City Manager, the City Attorney and the
City Clerk shall be increased above current amounts and the salaries
for the 1990 -91 fiscal year shall be as shown on Exhibit "A"; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Classification and
Compensation Plan be amended to reflect said changes.
ADOPTED this 9th day of July, 1990.
