A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING OR REPEALING
RESOLUTIONS 89 -25, 89 -147, 89 -136, 85 -4, 87-
14, 88 -105, AND 89 -78 BY SUNSETTING, E %TENDING
TERMINATION DATES FOR, AND MODIFYING THE
DUTIES OF, VARIOUS CITY COMMITTEES.
• WHEREAS, the City Council, during the Study Session on
November 13, 1990, reviewed and evaluated certain committees
established by resolution;
WHEREAS, the City Council, as a result of this review, has
determined to sunset certain committees, extend the termination
dates of some committees, and modify the duties or names of other
committees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Newport Beach that the resolutions described below are amended
or repealed as follows:
1. Resolution No. 89 -25, which established the Oceanfront
Encroachment Ad Hoc Citizens Advisory Committee is repealed, and
the Committee is terminated, on the effective date of this
resolution;
2. Resolution No. 89 -147, which established the Balboa Bay
Club Ad Hoc Committee is amended such that Section 5 reads as
follows:
"5. TERMINATION. The Committee shall terminate upon
submission of its final report to the City Council
or on January 1, 1992, whichever occurs first,
unless the term is extended by further action of
the City Council.11

3. Resolution No. 89 -136, which established the Circulation
Build Out Ad Hoc Committee is hereby amended, such that Section 3
reads as follows:

"The Committee shall meet as often as necessary and shall
sunset on July 1, 1991, unless further action is taken by
the City Council."
4. Resolution No. 85 -4 shall be amended to insert the term
"Orange County Cities Airport Authority" wherever the term "Inter-
County Airport Authority" appears in the resolution.
5. Resolution No. 88 -105 and, to the extent it is
incorporated by reference, Resolution No. 87 -14, shall be amended
to add the following to Section 5:
"h. to assist in the development and review of the City
Recycling Plan with particular emphasis on the
public education, household hazardous waste, source
reduction and composting components."
6. Resolution No. 89 -78, which established the Emergency
Preparedness Citizens Advisory Committee shall be repealed, and the
Committee sunsetted, as of the effective date of this resolution.
