RESOLUTION NO. 92 -22
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH ESTABLISHING "NO
PARKING" RESTRICTIONS FROM 6:00 A.M. TO
11:00 A.M. ON THE EASTERLY SIDE OF
AVOCADO AVENUE BETWEEN PACIFIC DRIVE AND
WATERFRONT DRIVE ON THURSDAYS TO IMPROVE
REFUSE COLLECTION ACCESS.
WHEREAS, Section 12.44.150 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code provides that the City Council shall by
Resolution designate streets or portions of streets on
which the parking or standing of vehicles is to be
prohibited, and shall designate in the Resolution the days
of the week and the exact hours during which such
prohibition shall be in effect; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it
is reasonable and in the public interest to prohibit
parking of vehicles at certain times and in certain areas
of the City in order to effectively operate the City refuse
collection program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach that parking of
vehicles shall be prohibited between the hours of 6:00 A.M.
to 11:00 A.M. on Thursdays on the easterly side of Avocado
Avenue between Pacific Drive and Waterfront Drive.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Traffic
Engineer shall erect all necessary signs to indicate said
restricted parking areas.
