A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH MODIFYING VARIOUS
RESOLUTIONS TO AMEND THE DUTIES OF, EXTEND
THE TERMINATION DATES OF, OR SUNSET VARIOUS
CITY COMMITTEES
• WHEREAS, the City Council Policy Manual requires periodic review of the
status of Boards, Commissions and Committees; and
WHEREAS, the City Council conducted this review on November 9, 1992 and
determined that the terms of certain Committees should be revised;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
1. Bicentennial Ad Hoc Citizens Advisory Committee. The Bicentennial Ad
Hoc Citizens Advisory Committee is hereby sunsetted. Resolution Numbers 87 -172 and
91 -107 are hereby repealed.
2. Balboa Bay Club City Council Ad Hoc Committee. Section 5 of
Resolution No. 89 -147, and corresponding provisions of Resolution No. 91 -107 are
amended to read as follows:
"5. Terri-jination. The Committee shall tem-jinate upon the submission of
its final report to the City Council or on January 1, 1994, whichever occurs
first, unless the termination date is extended by subsequent resolution of
the City Council."
3. Historical Preservation Ad Hoc Committee. The Historical Preservation
Ad Hoc Committee is hereby sunsetted. Resolution Numbers 91 -79 and 91 -107 are
hereby repealed.
4. Ocean Front Walk Ad Hoc City Council Committee. Section 3 of
Resolution No. 91 -97 is amended to read as follows:
"3. The Committee shall sunset on January 1, 1994 unless earlier
• terminated by action of the City Council."
5. Circulation Buildout City Council Ad Hoc Committee. The Circulation
Buildout City Council Ad Hoc Committee was established in November 1989 by
Resolution No. 89 -136 and amended by Resolution No. 91 -89 and should be repealed as
this Committee has now been superseded by the Open Space Ad Hoc Committee.
6. Marina Mobilehome Park and American Legion Ad Hoc Committee. The
Marina Mobilehome Park and American Legion Ad Hoc Committee was established on
January 27, 1992 by Resolution No. 92 -14 and should be repealed as this committee has
now been superseded by the Income Property Committee.
