A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH APPROVING
AMENDMENT NO. 799, AMENDING THE
• KOLL CENTER NEWPORT PLANNED COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS SO AS TO INCREASE
THE PERMITTED HEIGHT WTTI-IIN INDUSTRIAL
SITE NO. 1, FROM 55 FEET TO 75 FEET.
(PLANNING COMMISSION AMENDMENT NO. 799)
WHEREAS, as part of the development and implementation of the Newport
Beach General Plan the Land Use Element has been prepared; and
WHEREAS, Section 20.51.045 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code provides
that amendments to a Planned Community Development Plan must be approved by a
Resolution of the Planning Commission setting forth full particulars of the amendment; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has conducted a public hearing on
April 7, 1994, at which time this amendment to the Koll Center Newport Planned
Community Development Standards was discussed and recommended to the City Council
for approval; and
WHEREAS, the Newport Beach Municipal Code provides specific procedures
for the implementation of Planned Community zoning for properties within the City of
Newport Beach; and
WHEREAS, an amendment to the Koll Center Newport Planned Community
is necessary in order to allow increased height on the subject property; and
WHEREAS, the proposed change in the height limit from 55 feet to 75 feet
within Industrial Site No. 1, is compatible with the height of surrounding office buildings;
and
WHEREAS, the project has been determined to be Categorically Exempt
�1 from the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) under Class 5
(Minor Alterations in Land Use Limitations).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Newport Beach that Amendment No. 799, amending the Koll Center Newport Planned

Community District Development Standards so as to increase the height limit from 55 feet
to 75 feet within Industrial Site No. 1„ is hereby approved.
ADOPTED this 25th day of April. 1994 .
