A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH DECLARING CITY'S VACATION OF
A WATER LINE EASEMENT WITHIN 690 NEWPORT
CENTER DRIVE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach,
pursuant to the provisions of the Street Vacation Act (Section 8300
• et sec.. of the Streets & Highways Code) is authorized to vacate the
sewer, storm drain, water line and public utility easements; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach has
reviewed and considered the various elements of the General Plan of
the City of Newport Beach prior to declaring its intent to vacate
the water line and has determined that the proposed vacation is
consistent with the General Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach held a
public hearing on the proposed vacation of the easement legally
described on Exhibit "A" and depicted on a map attached as Exhibit
"B" at 7:00 P.M. on December 12, 1994, in the Chambers of the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach located at 3300 Newport
Boulevard, Newport Beach, California; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach desires
to vacate the water line easement legally described in Exhibit "A"
and depicted on Exhibit "B ", the vacation to be processed pursuant
to the provisions of the Street Vacation Act.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City
of Newport Beach that water line easement legally described in
Exhibit "A ", and depicted on Exhibit "B" is hereby ordered vacated
and abandoned.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby directed
to have this resolution recorded by the Orange County Recorder.
ADOPTED, this 12th day of December, 1994.

EXHIBIT "A"
That certain strip of land, 24.00 feet wide, described as
Parcel 1 in the easement to the City of Newport Beach recorded
July 30, 1973 in Book 10825, Pages 309 through 312 inclusive, of
• Official Records, in the office of the Recorder of Orange County,
California.
EXCEPTING AND RESERVING THEREFROM a portion of said certain
strip of land, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the northwesterly line of that
certain land described in the easement to the City of Newport
Beach recorded June 14, 1971 in Book 9675, Page 396 of said
Official Records, distant N 50 °45'00" E 48.00 feet from the
southwesterly terminus of that certain course described as
"South 50 045'00" West 236.10 feet" in said easement; thence
N 39 015'00" W 186.50 feet to a non - tangent curve concave to the
south and having a radius 145.00 feet; thence northwesterly along
said curve, through a central angle of 26 031'45 ", an arc length
of 67.14 feet to the southwesterly line of said Parcel l; thence
S 39 °15'00" E along said last mentioned southwesterly line a
distance of 249.12 feet to a point in the northwesterly line of
that certain land described in said easement recorded in Book
9675, Page 396 of said Official Records; thence northeasterly in
a direct line to the Point of Beginning.
