A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
REQUESTING HARBOR MUNICIPAL
COURT'S ADOPTION OF A BAIL
SCHEDULE FOR VIOLATION OF
• NEWPORT BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE
SECTION 10.28.020, PERTAINING TO LOUD
AND RAUCOUS NOISE.
WHEREAS, Section 10.28.020 of the Newport Beach Municipal
Code regulates loud and raucous noise from sound making or amplifying
devices; and
WHEREAS, Section 1.04.010 (A.) of the Newport Beach Municipal
Code provides that an infraction of the Code may be punished by fines
established in the Uniform Bail Schedule adopted by Harbor Municipal
Court; and
WHEREAS, Harbor Municipal Court establishes fines for Municipal
Code violations in the Uniform Bail Schedule upon the request of the City
Council; and
WHEREAS, there has been no specific bail amount established for
violation of Section 10.28.020; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires Harbor Municipal Court to
establish a specified bail amount for violation of Municipal Code Section
10.28.020.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach as follows:
The recommended bail amount for violation of Municipal Code Section
10.28.020 is $150.
