RESOLUTION NO. 95- 33
RESOLUTION OF CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH INITIATING AMENDMENTS
TO OF TITLE 20 OF THE NEWPORT BEACH MUNICIPAL
CODE, PERTAINING TO OUTDOOR DINING AND PARKING
STANDARDS FOR RESTAURANTS
WHEREAS, Title 20 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code
authorizes the City Council to adopt a Resolution initiating
amendments to the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Newport Beach;
and,
WHEREAS, The City Council intends to initiate an amendment to
Chapter 20.72 that would authorize accessory outdoor dining in
restaurants when such accessory outdoor dining does not exceed 25
percent of the net public area; and
WHEREAS, The City Council intends to initiate further
amendments to Title 20 to establish parking standards for
restaurants upon consideration of certain factors.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Newport Beach to initiate amendments to Title 20 of the Newport
Beach Municipal Code, and that the Planning Commission of the City
of Newport Beach is hereby requested to conduct a public hearing to
consider the proposed amendment and make such other amendments or
recommendations to the City Council.
