equal in population and contiguous and compact in natural territory; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wants to ensure consistent noticing of agendas and facilitate
maximum community involvement by designating the City Council Redistricting Committee as
a Brown Act committee; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to create a City Council Redistricting Committee to
analyze the latest population numbers supplied by the recent census and to make
recommendations to the City Council regarding any district changes that may be necessary.
