A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH PROHIBITING OVERNIGHT PARKING
ON BACK BAY DRIVE BETWEEN JAMBOREE ROAD AND
SHELLMAKER ROAD
WHEREAS, Section 12.44.160 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code provides that
the City Council shall by resolution designate streets or portions of streets on which the
parking or standing of vehicles after 6:00 P.M. and before 6:00 A.M. the next day is to be
prohibited; and
WHEREAS, the City Council shall designate in the resolution the days of the week
and the exact hours during which such prohibition shall be in effect; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to prohibit overnight parking as hereinafter provided;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach that the parking of vehicles shall be prohibited on Back Bay Drive between
Jamboree Road and Shellmaker Road daily from 10:00 P.M. to 6:00 A.M.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Traffic Engineer is authorized and
directed to cause signs to be posted on such street giving notice of such parking
restrictions.

being Resolution No. 2011 -89 was duly and regularly introduced before and adopted by the City
Council of said City at a regular meeting of said Council, duly and regularly held on the 13th day of
September, 2011, and that the same was so passed and adopted by the following vote, to wit:

Abstain: None
